So my Writing 140 portfolio's due tomorrow. As of 5:20, I have yet to start on it. =/ I even went to the Writing Center in an attempt to get "expert" opinions on the matter. I think I'm more of an expert than he is. Not helpful at all. He spent most of the time saying, "uh... yeah.. I don't know...," paraphrasing my own sentences, and then ended with, "yeah... I don't think I was very much help." Gee, you think? blah. I'm just slightly grumpy about that. Especially since the lady helping the girl in the neighboring cubicle seemed to have so much to say. Eh well. I'm just so paper-ed out. I'm making it a verb. I'm paper-ed out.

On the non-academic side, I reluctantly (finally) bought a paddle for APO today. It's not that I'm unwilling to make one for my big, Yi. It's just that... I hate that I had to spend money - again! Greek Escape was a funny store though. It's a little scary just how much stuff they have with fraternity and sorority names on them. Even the fake oneslike APO! I mean, I thought it was more of a err.. regular (?) sorority/fraternity thing. But I guess even service frats are included.

I'll be so excited when this week is over, because then it is officially dead week! I mean, yes, we're supposed to spend all that time studying. But we really won't. I'll get to sleep more and I don't have to go to class. And at least I only have 3 finals, since two of my classes just have papers. So basically, lots of hanging out! It'll be like the Welcome Week part two, except we all actually know each other now. Which is obviously more fun. And the best part to this? As soon as finals are over, so is school for (almost) a month! An entire month of no school work seriously sounds like heaven (do I believe in heaven? questionable...) right now.

Oh! And Thanksgiving break was fantastic. Just the break I needed. I did absolutely nothing productive the entire weekend. I did however, watch Saved, The Day After Tomorrow, Elf and National Treasure. I went to Starbucks, dim sum, IHOP and of course, the game against Notre Dame (undefeated Trojans!). Bonfired at the beach (heeh....never a normal one), Disney-fied Disney movies, sang like little kids to the soundtracks, and of course, had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Seeing everyone was by far the best part of the weekend. Shopping was a little anti-climatic. I got two shirts on sale at Express and a free scarf, but it wasn't quite the haul I'd been hoping for. But I guess that's for the better, since Christmas is coming up and I'm not exactly rich (to say the least).
